Scott Gibson, Executive Director

Scott GibsonAfter receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Theology & General Studies at Cincinnati Christian University, Scott worked as the Executive Director of Facilities at the University for 10 years. In 2008, he began his career in the healthcare industry as the Village Manager & Executive Director for Independent Living for the 500 independent residents at Mason Christian Village in Mason, Ohio. During that time, he earned his Nursing Home Administrator License from The Ohio State University School of Business. He went on to become the Executive Director and Administrator at Mt. Healthy Christian Village in Cincinnati, Ohio and with Brookdale Senior Living in Mason, Ohio.

Scott has earned five perfect, deficiency free annual Ohio Department of Health surveys in both skilled nursing and assisted living, as well as being voted “Best of North (Cincinnati) in nursing facilities two years in a row. Scott is an active member of Leading Age Ohio, where he graduated from the Leadership Academy. He also serves on several local boards and is very involved in his church. He lives in Mason, Ohio with his wife, Holly, and their six children.

Debby Farmer, Director Of Community Relations

Debby FarmerDebby is a Licensed Social Worker and has worked over 30 years in the senior living industry, beginning her career as an Activity Director and Social Worker in Skilled Nursing settings. From there, Debby transitioned to the sales and marketing side of health care working in Senior Living, Hospice, and Home Health services.

Debby and her husband have been residents of the Milford/Loveland area for 25 years, love the local community, and are excited to have Magnolia Springs in their own backyard!

Her passion to help families and their loved ones find the right solution for their needs keeps her coming back to the Assisted Living and Memory Care arena.

Maggie Dewey, Health and Wellness Director

Maggie DeweyMaggie is a qualified Registered Nurse, and holds both a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from The University of Cincinnati. Maggie is no stranger to the field of Geriatrics, and has worked in the Senior Living industry for a total of 16 years. Before joining Magnolia Springs in 2017, Maggie worked for several years for a diverse range of organizations, including for profit Retirement Communities, as well as, not for profit. Her experience is vast, and her leadership roles have included Nurse Manager, MDS Nurse Manager, and Director of Nursing. She is a member of the AANAC, and an active leader in Geriatric nursing. She is passionate about educating staff to grow their knowledge to better care for our residents and families. Maggie’s focus on all aspects of the patients’ experience drives her and her team toward excellence in care.

In her spare time, she is an avid Reds fan and enjoys spending time with her family. She currently resides in Batavia, OH with her husband Doug, their daughter, Isabel, and their two Labradors, Rufus and Match.

Holly Henderson, Director of Memory Way

Holly HendersonHolly Henderson has been serving Cincinnati area seniors for over sixteen years specializing in positive engagement and environments for persons living with dementia. Holly is a trained dementia art facilitator through The Scripps Gerontology Center. She is a Board Certified Activity Professional as well as a Nationally Certified Activity Director with an emphasis in Memory Care. She serves as a national instructor through the NCCDP as a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease Dementia Trainer. Holly is passionate about raising awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and reducing social stigmas. She is currently serving on various local and state wide initiatives to provide “Dementia Friendly City” efforts.

Holly enjoys volunteering for the Alzheimer’s Association in her free time and also has a 5 year old daughter (Olivia) entering Kindergarten in the fall.

Sharon Turner Phipps, Director of Life Enrichment

Sharon PhippsSharon has worked in health care for over 8 years, and customer service for 30+ years. She has worked as an Activity Director in Long Term Care/Rehabilitation, Assisted Living Dementia Unit, and for Small Houses.
Sharon started volunteering in High School at a nursing home, and continued to volunteer through church, schools, and for the Boy Scouts of America.
Sharon has always adored activities whether planning day camps, running bake sales, teaching sewing lessons, or helping others. Sharon has a gift for creating, crafting, and cooking that she likes to utilize in here everyday life. She is excited to take on this new role, and has countless ideas for the activity program.
Sharon loves her growing family, and helps manage the family business. In her spare time, she enjoys the great outdoors.

Dennis Heffner, Director of Plant Operations

Dennis HeffnerAs a lifelong resident of Cincinnati, Dennis has served the senior community for the past 27 years. Dennis finds the rich history of seniors fascinating and believes in providing great service with a smile. He takes the safety and security of all residents seriously and has always worked closely with local and state officials to insure peace of mind.

Dennis is a member of the NFPA and has received a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist certification from the Safety Council of Northwest Ohio. Having studied at the University of Cincinnati, Ashland College, and Scarlet Oaks, Dennis realizes his most valuable education has come from working with seniors.

At home, Dennis is usually busy working on home projects or playing and teaching guitar. He lives in Eastgate with his wife, Betty, and their dog, Elsie – a rescue and former senior living “house” dog.

Kim Davis, Business Office Manager

Kim DavisKim recieved a Bachelors Degree, from Denison University. Shortly after college, she began working for HCR Manor Care, in a Skilled Nursing Facility, as the Business Office Manager. She continued working there for 15 years. After this, she was the Administrator for a large, and very busy, orthopedic practice, for 6 years. Kim has now been in Assisted Living for 2 1/2 years. She is very passionate about our residents.
Kim lives in West Chester. She moved back to Ohio, a few years ago, after 21 years in South Florida. In Kim’s spare time she enjoys cooking, Pilates, and long walks outdoors.
